Not really. If he cared about his family, then he should have been more responsible on the road.
What, if because of his actions, he causes an accident.
That accident changes the life's of those involved. Sometimes dreadfully.
Now not only his family is effected, but the other family as well.
I always look at it this way, that car, mini van, suv, sitting next to me may not be my wife or daughter, my sister or brother, but they do belong to somebody.

Some drivers don't like that I report bad behavior. But did you stop to think that those may be some of the drivers that are part of the problem.
We're all human, we all make mistakes.
If I did something stupid because of a lack of judgement I would accept the same thing.

Most safety will call you and discuss the report. But they do understand that reports on you can be outright lies or great exaggerations. So, although they'll speak to you about it, they generally arent gonna hold it against you unless they are getting multiple reports from numerous people. Now, if you did something extremely negligent and dangerous, and they have video or other supporting evidence, you may be in trouble on the first report.

Sometimes anonymity is the smart move. There are too many nuts out there now, especially idiots who think they have some kind of right to do as they please, then get ticked off when they're called out.
That being said, I also give whatever information is requested of me (yes, I've called drivers in).
I'll also call you out on the radio every time. I have no problem with a supertrucker knowing I'm right behind him, watching his every move. I've warned a couple supertruckers to start driving professionally before I call their company, and if needed 911.
And yes, if you're on the road driving like an idiot anywhere near me and the general motoring public, it's my business. I take the responsibility for myself and those around me seriously, even if supertrucker doesn't.

If you are half as aggressive as you claim in your position of self-appointed highway hall monitor, I'm surprised you haven't had an incident with one of your targets.

Not only do you frequently call in on other drivers, but you get on the radio and menace them about it?

"I'm behind you watching your every move."

    That is stalkerish behavior.

I don't say "I'm watching your every move"... usually a quick tongue-in-cheek barb is enough to get their attention. If they choose to respond, I'll engage them. Funny thing is, they're the ones who go silent first. Sometimes they noticeably improve their driving, sometimes not.

How would you feel if you seen bad driving, decided not to call "to save his family" and 10 miles down the road he hits a minivan and kills 2 kids and their mother? You can sleep better that night knowing at least the drivers family will still get their food.....

So I hear the number one valuation while I was in truck driving school is drivers without a cdl so if this is true would that be something you report to the dot? I would figure that the company he or she is working for knows that they don't have a cdl.

You do have a good point but if that driver is so bad why is he trucking?
