Maybe it's different for me because I'm not solar powered, if he's weaving I'll blow air at him and get him on the cb. if he doesn't have a cb then he'll probably get the picture after getting his hearing blown out.
as for the risk taking drivers, i say let em go, he'll either scare himself into some sense, crash, or be just fine. but it's not my #### business, my business is to make sure i don't need a wrecker or send someone to the hospital, not to police the #### highway. if a four wheeler gets scrapped it was probably their own fault.
Its not us against them, don't be cliche. it's us for us.
Do you report bad drivers?

Question! How do you know soma driver is drunk driving? Over my career what you think is a drunk turns out to be a domestic in the car or fatigued etc. But not saying not to report them just a thought.
Toomanybikes, alghazi and QuietStorm Thank this. -
What you're describing isn't "us for us", its called turning a blind eye (Yes, another cliché...sometimes they serve a purpose).
"If a four wheeler gets scrapped it was probably their own fault." So, you don't own a car? That four wheeler might be a fellow driver on his way to or from work. But you know what? I don't care if its a fellow driver. I don't care if its someone who hates truck drivers. I'm not going to step back and say its not my problem if they wreck. I said earlier, I'll try to get their attention, but if I can't, that doesn't mean I just toss up my hands and say, "Oh, well, I tried." Life matters.
I came up on a wreck a couple years ago. SUV crossed the median at about 4 am and hit a truck broadside. The truck went up in flames, and as for the SUV, well there was a four year old sitting in the back seat, crying for us to help her mommy, but we couldn't because mommy had been decapitated in the crash. She had fallen asleep after driving probably three hours. She had been pulled over twice before the wreck, and unfortunately allowed to continue driving. Was it her own fault? Yes, as well as perhaps a lack of judgement on law enforcement's part. But that doesn't matter, does it? She's dead, and theres a little girl without a mommy now. Maybe someone had called her in earlier; if they had, good for them. How law enforcement responds after that is out of the caller's hands. But at least that caller made a try. -

Over my years OTR I have not come up on that many accidents, however the ones I have come up on seem to have been particularly nasty and most had a fatality. As I type this out I am reminded of most of them. However the one accident that stands out in my mind and I remember at least once a day happened in Mississippi. I watched a young girl lose her mother because her step father fell asleep while driving.JReding Thanks this. -
I do not own a car. Additionally, no lives matter (tm). Yes, trollish, because I'm having a conversation with people who are fundamentally different than myself.
The mentality I'm confronted with has striking similarities to the general culture of nanny-state nations, which I cannot understand, at all. It's just un-American to go around tattling then taking some self righteous moral highground knowing #### well you would have a different tune if it was you. we'll at least the ones whose livelihood depends on driving.
I digress however, to the point in this thread, if you ever get tired while driving, and your career is ended that day by a tool with a cell phone before you find a safe place to park, i hope you are relieved another unsafe driver is off the road.
In closing, I don't condone reckless driving simply for the sake of reckless driving, but what would I know about the other person's situation and who promoted me to the all righteous Judge of the Road? I wonder what you all get paid for that job or is it all pro bono to make you feel warm and fuzzy?fargonaz Thanks this. -
