And to stand by and watch someone do something bad, makes you a coward or a bystander. Double standards abound on this topic. If someone is beating up a woman, do you get involved? Of course. If someone is breaking into a shop, you call the cops right? But here? Mind your business? Double standards.....
Do you report bad drivers?

If someone walked into a bank holding a gun are you not going to call the cops?
You all seem to have missed the difference in being a tattle tale and safety.
A guy walking into a bank holding a gun I am calling. A guy throwing his big mac wrapper on the ground I may say something but not calling the cops.
Same with drivers. If they are speeding or drift a little, no big deal. If they are really all over the road, I am going to call and get him off the road. You can speed in some situations and still be safe and you can drift some and still be safe but if you are weaving enough to drive a vehicle next to you into a jersey wall then it is time he gets off the road. If the radio does no good then a law enforcement official will have to do it.not4hire, JReding and street beater Thank this. -

Called a driver in one time who was obviously nodding off at the wheel. All over the road, erratic speed, no response on the CB. Two lane road, almost had a head on collision. Yeah, I'll call if I see something like that.
That's the only time I've seen someone that was clearly an immediate danger to themself and others.
For the most part I'm of the myob attitude.
I don't like the way a lot of people drive but I'm not a traffic cop.speedyk, QuietStorm, JReding and 1 other person Thank this. -
Yup.
called my co. on a fellow co-worker before. snitch or not, this guy was a ####ing danger to the road. got let go the following day. do i feel bad, not at all.
i think the dagger was, that fellow co-worker got stopped by a state trooper a mile ahead. that's probably what got let him go on top of the phone call to my company.Last edited: Dec 18, 2016

In other news, "whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward, whoever cannot take care of himself without that law is both." \m/
How about we all just agree to leave the policing to johnny and let the herd cull itself. I know this might put all you non-individualistic types in an uproar, but seriously, when I want you to have control over my life I'll sign a power of attorney. Keep your nose out of my business, I'll pull over when I feel like it and expect you to do the same.
If I'm about to kill someone else, do what you feel you need to do.alghazi Thanks this. -

Omertà/oʊˈmɛərtə/ (Italian pronunciation: [omerˈta])[1] is a code of honor that places importance on silence, non-cooperation with authorities, and non-interference in the illegal actions of others. It originated and remains common in Southern Italy, where banditry and the Mafia-type criminal organizations (like the Camorra, Cosa Nostra, 'Ndrangheta and Sacra Corona Unita) are strong. It is also deeply rooted in rural Crete (Greece),[2] and Corsica.
I'll pass on that "honor code", thanks.
