I buy 1000 direct from JJ Keller for 118.00. Carbons on every set. 3 holed punched. -
Drivers Daily Log software and never worry about it ever again.
-
Then you have to buy a printer and carry it on the truck. I'm trying to reduce the amount of stuff I take out for the couple week trip. -
Break is such an ugly word Stretch is a nicer word I wont stretch my 10 hour break everything else all bets are off. Sorry but I live in the real world and in the real world everybody stretches the log.Till we all log it as it realy happens and companys ,shippers, and consignees and not drivers are punished then none of this wink wink nod nod b.s. will ever end.I use to beleive that the hos change coming this month would change everything but now I seriously doubt it.

log it as it happens.... live unloads (aka evil unloads) at grocery warehouses often run me out of hours.... AND, most have no overnight parking..
SOP at Roehl, "get to the nearest, safe place to park, THEN take a FULL 10 hour break"......
Grocery warehouses suck, but lump 'em or leave 'em. -
U do know there is no law that allows you to find a safe place to park passed your 11 or 14 right?
I hope you do! -

What drivers must do is pre-plan # least 2-3 hours of a delay at a customer, if you know it's going to be more then you should talk to your dispatcher.
Seriously guys/ Loading/unloading is no exscuse and I will post the exact words from the Federal book.
Question 4: Are there allowances made in the FMCSRs for delays caused by loading and unloading?
Guidance: No. Although the regulations do make some allowances for unforeseen contingencies such as in §395.1(b), adverse driving conditions, and §395.1(b)(2), emergency conditions, loading and unloading delays are not covered by these sections.
I just don't want you to use this as an exscuse to get a fine
