Safety department wants everyone to carefully crank the handle around and around to raise and lower trailer landing gear. "It is just not worth saving the few extra seconds it takes" they say.
Anyone ever wack themselves in the face with the handle?
Do you spin your landing gear handle?

Huh? Why would your face be that close?
I just twirl it around with my hand open without actually gripping it. -
I spin them all the time and never hurt myself, the only time I use the handle is if it's bent and rubs the trailer or it's hard to turn.
Your safety guy is probably a washed up truck driver that had a lot of wrecks or lost his medical card.jungledrums, Fatboy42, Crude Truckin' and 9 others Thank this. -
Well how else would you raise/lower the landing gear without turning the handle? Maybe I misunderstood the question...
noluck, diesel drinker and steve092 Thank this. -
No. I call TA road service to do it for me. If "safety" really wanted drivers to be safe, they would drive the trucks for us...since everything is soooo dangerous.
Lucy in the Sky, jungledrums, DTP and 17 others Thank this. -
Our outfit says we should always use two hands on the handle at all times.
