Do you think this will be another obstacle?

I just got my DMV record today. I already have a CDL A but need to be trained again. I would like to go with Millis. I thought my record was squeaky clean but when I got it I noticed my license was suspended for two weeks about a year ago because I didn't pay a seatbelt ticket right away( thank you officer for not giving me that failure to fully stop at a stop sign ticket!). I knew I was late paying it but thought I paid it before it was suspended. Is this another obstacle or do you think something so minor will be overlooked? I have no points , accidents or any other problems. What do you guys/girls think?

It will need to be explained, but may not cause a problem. However, any time that a potential driver's license shows suspended, it will raise concerns. Keep in mind that each company sets their own policies. What one company may consider serious, may get a pass from another. It might help if you have supporting documentation about the suspension and ticket when you talk with potential employers. It does show carelessness for not having paid the ticket, but I don't think that it is something that should cause much of a problem.

Thanks for the reply G/MAN. I admit i'm an idiot for not paying it. I've never been the greatest bill payer. I forgot all about it happening until I pulled my record today. It does show the no seatbelt ticket too and states on the abstract it is for non-payment of fines so I should be OK paper trail wise. I don't think the no seatbelt ticket will be an issue but wo knows. Like you said every company is different. I did read a post on another site where a guy lost his job for 3 past suspensions even tough he had no points and was in good standing. But his was because of lack of proof of insurance. So his companies insurance company wouldn't insure him. I'm pretty sure that an insurance company would insure me with my issues. I guess I'll find out soon enough.

This does'nt sound like a big deal. But with companies anything is possible. Some make a huge federal case over nothing. So apply and hope for the best.

Hey Rizob, call our 1800# and speak with Alice. She can tell you either way, but doesn't sound like a problem. Good luck.
