I used to use it all the time to check scales and truck stops but rarely use it anymore.
For me it’s just too cluttered up with useless (to me) crap..Since they started displaying the fuel prices it became dog-crap app.
Do you use/recommend Trucker Path app?

I just use it to see if truck stops and rest areas are full. Not worth using for map in my eyes. Would rather use my Garmin GPS and cross reference all with Google Maps.

I use it on daily basis in combination with google maps and garmin and a bit of common sense. It does have its glitches where it will tell you to get off the highway and take back roads because it thinks there’s weight limit.
It is helpful when it comes to finding truck stops with parking and showernextgentrucker and Safe-Driver Thank this. -

There isn't much benefit from getting the most expensive Trucker Path subscription. The lowest cost subscription provides the things I wanted AND the truck routing. Just remember you need a cellphone connection to a good network, I always used the Verizon network. The advantage to a truck GPS is you don't need a big cellphone data plan or connection to the cellphone network to get truck routing. Also, If you use Trucker Path for everything, the cops cannot tell the difference between you messing with your phone while you drive (a big ticket) and you messing with your "GPS". You have no idea how bad it is to get one of those "using cellphone while driving" tickets. DO NOT LET THAT HAPPEN. It's almost as bad as getting a ticket for DUI/drunk driving.

A trucking GPS will generally keep you clear of low bridges and parkways but as others have mentioned, have an actual atlas to refer to if you're not sure.
Also, DO NOT blindly follow directions from the GPS. It's a great tool for situational awareness, tracking distances and finding places to pull into on the fly...but it will try to send you in directions that don't make sense for a commercial vehicle, even if the roads are technically ok for a truck.
Just my $0.02. Welcome to the forum.nextgentrucker and Safe-Driver Thank this. -
I tried Truckerpath while using a friend's OLD Rand McNally GPS to verify. I was also running Google Maps on an old phone too. Truckerpath twice tried to sent me down streets in the San Bernadino Valley that were restricted to trucks. It also kept trying to have me jump off interstates to just jump back on the same interstate. Can not recommend Truckerpath, I bought a Garmin Dezl and headset, extremely happy and no erroneous routing in the 3 yrs or so I have had it.
Garmin for route planning, trucker's atlas for restrictions/ planning verifications, Google maps for imagery at waypoints/destinations and "Truck Stop and Services" app if the Mega truck stop chains aren't nearby.
Good luck out there!nextgentrucker and Safe-Driver Thank this. -
