yes two week period
osdi is social securityalbhb3 Thanks this. -
We make between 15 to 20 an hour over here in Pennsylvania to haul water, though the brunt of our water hauling is done in tri-axle straight trucks with 100 to 130bbl tanks.
-
I was in south Texas. I'd bring home $1700 to $1800 per week.
-
how do you manage to load 130bbl legally on a tri axle straight?
fresh water at 8.3 lbs per gallon
in nd most the oil company expect you to be able to carry 120bbl or better
i don't know if its different in gas fields but production water is on average 10lbs per gallon can range anywhere from 9.3-11.5
42 gallons per bbl
you see very few straight trucks in the nd feilds, other than supervacs which handle the really dirty stuff.
pay in nd feilds is anywhere from 18-26 a hour i was making 26 a hour for a o/o but no time and a half after 40
id love to see a pic of how your water trucks are setupLast edited: Jan 19, 2012

So where are all these $30+ an hour jobs I'm reading about on CL & ND Job Service? I see companies advertising for under $20 an hour on CL then someone will come on and post "Do not except these low ball wages, because all your doing is driving down the wages for every one else". Some times I think the trucking industry isn't a whole lot different then the construction trade that I just spent the last 40 years of my life in, very cut throat.
-
you may see 30 a hour working for a o/o but at 30 a hour you will likely get paid on 10.99 and no ot. even then your not too likely to see 30 a hour, most o/o pay off a percentage of truck pay.
i don't know what rig workers make but it may be in the 30 a hour range. i know work over rigs pay there hands around 25-28 an hour from guys iv talked to.
when i first started working for a o/o i figured i would be at around 30 a hour based off the percentage but ended up working out to around 26 a hour when it was all said and done. less than that if you calculated where i should have been making time and a half. I'm happier where im at now. the company i work for now pays 18 a hour for drivers without oil field experience they started me at 21 a hour because i had been in the oil field for 8 months at that point. with future pay raises. as well as a full benifits package. 100% paid by employer and employer matched 401k.
the oil feild can be cut throat eventually it will probably be ruined like the rest of the trucking industry. i wouldn't accept a job for less than 20 a hour. esp without benefits.IdahoMike Thanks this. -
Called bublitz trucking asked for mc# or dot# to check there safety rating!
Lady said i dont no them and she asked why! I said to check your safety rating!
She said! Ooh! We cant give that out! Lol!
Sounds like some real flyby nighters up there...
Ever hear of saferweb!! Lol -
They mainly look like this truck, alot of our locations are in tight spots and tight roads, its easier to get these trucks in and out of locations than a transport. -
we have a lot of tight locations and roads as well i imagine in pa its even tighter. how do them heavy front's do in snow/ice?
also there is no way i would work in the nd oil fields in a day cab. iv spent 48 consecutive hours on a well site before would have been miserable in a day cab. more 12+ hour stretches than i can count and a hand full of 24 hour stretches.
