Nope, but they usually have a helmet law to compensate...

I've been told on more than one occasion, by several different drivers, that survival in a roll-over situation goes way up if you aren't wearing a seatbelt and not using the armrest in a big truck. The driver ends up between the seats, neatly packed inside the crushed cab, but safe, while the belted driver ends up a red pancake.

I always wear mine, but the more people start talking about roll-overs and such, the more I'm second-guessing wearing one.

Ill take my chances with a seat-belt. I'd probably get scalped if it rolled on the drivers side and the door glass broke allowing my head to hit the ground. at least it wouldn't completely pull me under.

I can see the argument of a seat belt keeping you in the seat, and behind the wheel, at least you have more of a chance to stay in controll of the vehicle. not going to be easy when things are at that point... but there is still a chance.

A motorcycle helmet. i don't see the same benefit. You get whacked in the head, your done anyway. you might live, but doubtful the helmet will save you enough to regain/maintain control.

Actually there are more states without helmet law than with assuming your talking adult riders.

No I do not wear a helmet either.

Here is a little food for thought. Take what you want from it.

    https://www.trucks.com/2018/10/04/large-truck-fatalities-29-year-high/

In 2017, 37,133 people died in motor vehicle crashes, a 2 percent decline from the prior year. The dip reversed two consecutive years of increases. Preliminary estimates indicate the downward trend is continuing through the first half of this year, according to NHTSA.

Large truck fatalities rose 9 percent to 4,761, an increase of 392 lives lost over the prior year. About 1,300 of the deaths were truckers. The remaining 72 percent occurred in the other vehicle involved in the collision.

About 40 percent of truck occupants killed were not wearing seat belts.

The biggest increase in fatalities occurred in trucks weighing 10,000 to 14,000 pounds, including dual rear-wheel pickup trucks.

Deaths in over-the-road tractor-trailers that haul freight rose 5.8 percent over 2016. Those trucks exceed 26,000 pounds and must follow Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration rules.

Well. Good thing your head doesn't have anything delicate or important in it.

IDK, I know a couple of people that a helmet had saved their lives...

They were fortunate enough to both have compassionate wives that stuck around to constantly wipe the drool off their chins.

Not sure the helmet did anyone any favors.
