Hi All,
This is my first time at this forum, so just wanted to say hi.
I've been drivin for a couple years now and have always had to either fax documents in or bring the back to the office at the end of my run. So trying to be creative, I came up with the idea of creating an application where I could take pictures of all the papers (so they look like scans) and send them back to the head office.
What do you guys think? Would it be a useful tool for all of you? I feel like it could save a lot of trouble trying to find a fax/scanner and having to wait to go back to the office.
If you think its useful, I could maybe release the application once I was done.
Let me know your thoughts!

-
can you point me in the right direction? Maybe a link to the app?
-
You mean transflo mobile?
-
Google is your friend. Just google; trucking paperwork smart phone apps, or variation of such, go to town.
-
The problem I found with transflo mobile is that you neeed youre office to also be on the Transflo software system... definitely companies out there that cant afford that
Do you guys use these apps yourself? If not, why not? -
Well there are a thousand apps out there that will take pictures and put them together into a PDF which can emailed.
-
Thanks for the prompt reply guys...will definitely take a deeper look at these.
back to my other question though...do you use these? if not, then why not? -
cam scanner app and email

transflo mobile express
sign a contract on the road = foxit reader & email
some brokers have their own apps such as coyote
It's been done documents are easy to deal with. I can sign contract, Rate Conf, copy bol, receipts, create invoice and bill customer, print a copy of it all out to file a hard copy. All without ever leaving my truck. Invoice customer before ever even leaving receiver.
I use all of the above.LindaPV Thanks this. -
Some shippers require the original documents for payment. So there's that.
