mr joe besh,a documentary is great , but the things you need to know besides the trucking , is the outragouse fuel prices the high insurance, the cut throat brokers not to mention the exspence of keeping a truck moveing, the dot and the rules that are imposed, everyone thinks that looking up at that truck running down the road ,thats easy! it aint easy when brokers are telling you that all the company want to pay for the load, and you #### well knoe theres extra moneys there and your getting screwed, or the drivers cdl mills that dont teach the new guys any road edicat, about helping a fellow driver, my point is the owner operater is the little guy that keeps getting the smaller peace of the pie due to fuel prices jumping up and down ,the list gos on and on!!!! my point being last yr when the economy took a dump C.H.robinson (broker) showed a proffit when every one else was looseing there butts and forced rates down now theres a news story for yah ,or how the truck stops gouge the drive for showers and food, but everones got to make a buck and the little guy hangs on buy a thread,,,,,,,hope you tell the truth in your film good luck

I actually purchased the DVD of Big Rig and to tell you the truth I wasnt that impressed with it...
or the stories of the drivers used in it...to me the most interesting part in the entire show was the beging with the young driver in Hunts Point.
the husband wife drivers with the cheating husband OOOH Yea great PR...
then get a trucking job so my husband doesnt beat me up anymore...then the ladies of the eveing in Nevada what some choice top usda stuff that was...
if they want some real trucking info give me a hollar... -
It was kind of a depressing view of trucking! The best one I have seen so far is the one on youtube by Vince. Great series if you haven't seen it yet!

Someone who's out here truckin' and not tryin' to get his 15 minutes of fame participating in yet another insipid show about truckers.

I am curious what the synopsis of the documentary is? What do you hope communicate to the audience? I know some "real truckers" but I wouldnt dare mention something like this without knowing a lot more.

Hi,
I have seen Big Rig and this is going to be different -- that film moved through a lot of different characters very quickly, and the goal of this project is to follow ONE driver and tell that person's story in their words. We're also specifically looking for a driver who will be retiring within six months. Entering a new stage in life (leaving a profession, entering the potential unknown) is the story we want to tell, and we want to project this person's experiences to the audience at that critical moment in life. It's not an expose about the trucking world necessarily, though elements of that would certainly pop up, it's really about this person.BIG RIGGER Thanks this. -
It's also on Hulu, for free.
