Did not Barney Frank and the other Dems say that those two entities were financially sound? Did they not brag about how many loans were made to Minorities that were not qualified to get a credit card at best buy.Last edited: Jul 18, 2010

Is there no hope for me? I am a recent CDL grad with a seven (7) year old felony. My Felony was Child Endangerment (non-sex crime), I was 19yrs old at the time, I am now 32. I payed my debt to society, and continue to pay. Is there no hope for me?

As previously stated, I have theft of property felony from 1994. I have driven a tractor trailer into and out of Canada (dropped in Regina). Gave them my passport and there was no consequence. Also, it was a placarded load (yes, I do have hazmat). Enigma78, why on God's green earth did you not get a better attorney to defend your child endangerment case? If you were 19 when you committed the crime, you would have been eligible for youthful offender status and had the charge sealed. The other thing that bothers me is when you say that you committed the crime when you were 19 years of age. You claim to be 32 years of age at this time. You say that the felony is 7 years old. Did they wait 6 years to prosecute you or was it tied up in litigation forever?

OK, first hand knowledge about this subject. I have a felony conviction from over thirty years ago.I'm ALWAYS up front with any new companies I apply to. Some say no, others WILL hire you.
On the Canada thing. Back in the 80's and into the 90s I ran from Chicago to Montreal twice a week. ( 10 years) After I had been going up there for about 7 years I was ran through immigration one night. I was told that they didn't allow "my kind" in their country and with a police escort I was escorted ( with truck & trailer) back across the bridge. I was told before I left that if I wished to return I would need a special work permit. I could obtain this permit by visiting the Canadian Consulate in Chicago with a letter from my boss and my release papers. I did this and for about 80 bucks a years I could go on about my business. Last I heard ( a few years ago) this can still be done but now the cost is crazy and the paperwork you need to take with you is just as crazy.
