Does any one know how to become a driver for trading-ships?

    Actually I'm looking at a company called Kirby that will give you paid training, but you start entry level as TankerMan/Deckhand.

    But hey it's minimal risk/investment. You put in the time and work your way up.

    Mostly it sounds like running inland river traffic with tankers or towing barges.
