I won $150 in a couple hours playing blackjack at a casino in Iowa while taking a 10. Told my driver manager and he was happy for me and told me he used to do the same thing. I really had no idea we weren't supposed to do that until today lol. I'm actually going to try to come back to Swift, my old kinda sorta supervisor called asking me to. I've just come out of myiocardial arrythmia so trying to get back in shape and pass a physical.

You're the first driver I've met who's actually read it. When I was in orientation they passed the handbook around, let everyone flip through it for a few minutes, then took them back. They didn't have copies to actually let you have. I think they did pass out some kind of CD version though.

The first two full years I drove for Swift my income from playing cards in casinos around the country resulted in a net gambling income that matched my net driving income. Each year.

Any employer that presumes to dictate what I do on my own time can get ####ed. I look at any employers policies and procedures as open to debate. At orientation in Laredo I pointed out the 'no gambling' clause and stated I would not be following it nor any similarly intrusive policy. The response was, "no problem".

I once walked in to Sky City casino on a 30 minute break.
$40 in and $1125 out, all well within that 30 minute break.

I love a good hit and run.

Do they hand you the handbook when you upgrade? When I upgraded to solo in Memphis, they didn’t give me anything. Just gave me the keys to the truck and a mattress and said get rolling lol. I still have the student handbook.

I believe you get it during orientation. It’s also available to view on the Swift app and portal.

I had one half a length behind me for sixteen miles . Never moved over until he caught me on a hill with about fifty cars behind him . One even passed me on the shoulder . Another guy flashed his lights behind me and flipped me off when he passed me like it was my fault the Swift driver didn’t get back in the slow lane . As if my job is to babysit other drivers and let them dictate my schedule all day long because they have low IQ’s. And they hit the shoulder every hour , never an off ramp , begging to be hit . I think Swift needs to not worry about lottery tickets avd train their drivers properly . As far as flip flops how can you walk across a nasty parking kit in shower shoes smh
