Sorry you can not comprehend what a "free market" means. FREE MARKETS REQUIRE TRANSPARENT PRICING. Maybe you can get a job at Swift once you go belly up. I hear they hire anyone who can hold a steering wheel.

Don't get me wrong, I've never met a broker that wasn't a lying SOB, but that doesn't effect my free market principles. If brokers are making too much money, it's because trucking companies are hauling too cheap.

I stand by my statement, what a broker does or doesn't make doesn't effect the trucking companies.

Care to be transparent on your pricing? It wouldn't be "fair" if you are getting better rates than everyone else.

For a few reasons. First, like I tried to explain above if the shipper sees what the broker pays the trucks, then the shippers will pay less.

Second, the more the broker gets the more the truck had the potential to get.

Third, it is a crutch to support the weak trucker. Why would I want my competition to see the rates?

Fourth, what would you do with this information? Transparency doesn't force the broker to give you more money. He will still load the cheaper truck.

Fifth, what you propose is unenforcable.

Hahaha you're sorry I "can't comprehend" what I am trying to explain to you, whilst you continue to give examples showing you have no idea of what you speak.

I am not sorry for you: there's a healthy population of unsuccessful businesses like the one you claim to operate.

So you wouldn't mind if all of your expenses and revenue were made transparent?

According to logic here, a realestate broker should be allowed to sell your house for as much as he can while talking you into taking as little money as he can, so he can pocket a bigger difference. Is that what you want?

Transparent pricing is about consumer protection and protecting free markets. Under current law, the "broker" is legally acting as the owner of the shipment. The broker's fee should be in the contract we sign.

People here are also misunderstanding what "transparent pricing" means.

I sold a piece of property one time. A friend of mine, who is a realtor, wanted to sell it for me. I told him "here is the deal, I want X amount for the property, anything you make over that is yours". He did tell me what he sold it for ( it was in the closing documents) but I wouldn't have cared if he made a million bucks, I got what I was asking. He did make a healthy profit, over what he would have made under a normal listing.

I sold a farm tractor on Craigslist. The day after I sold it, it reappeared on Craigslist for $2,000 more than what I sold it for. This would make a envious person upset, I couldn't care less, the guy paid me what I asked. Turns out the tractor was worth more than I though, that's on me, I should have done more research before I listed it.

Did I miss something? I read this complete site looking for info on finding FEMA loads and all I found was from brokers.

Stop embarrassing yourself. You obviously don't understand the meaning of FREE MARKET.
What's next you'll ask all retailers to disclose their "cost of goods" to make sure they don't make too much?
