Does anybody know where to get financial assistance for food while out on the road?

Have you considered just not eating? I'm serious when I say that, if you simply do not eat for 12 to 18 hours your body will enter into a state of ketosis where it consumes your body fat for energy which actually has some incredible health benefits. Burning your body fat through ketosis provides twice as much energy for your body and the health benefits are one you simply cannot get otherwise without being in ketosis.

I have found that it is not hard to do in truck driving and I would go as far as saying that many of the health problems that are common with truck drivers could be mitigated if not outright eliminated if people simply stopped eating so much or did intermittent fasting where they get their bodies into a state of ketosis more often. Food for thought not for eating.

 

Well other than asking others to help, find another company.

 

Free roller-dogs if you keep your back to the cashier. I've seen that going on for years.

 

If you keep your request ONLY for food and avoid asking for money, you might find a Church charity that may bring you some groceries from their food pantry. Since the OP is posting here they have access to the internet. You WILL find something like this near my home. LINK

 

I figure if your fueling the hotdogs are free, and worth every penny of the free. Same with refill on soda or coffee. just grab the dogs and eat them right there.

Just ask another driver, I have purchased lots of food to give to other drivers in the last 30 years. Don't know till you ask

Do you have cashapp? Not only can people zap you money, you can borrow from cash app for a very small fee.

 

A heavy object and a screw driver might take it off or large pipe wrench or channel locks.
