I mean no disrespect, but I'm just chuckling to myself, the Asians could sell Americans the utmost crap, and are making a killing. 1st of all, all these "inflators" are all the same inside. Some miniscule compressor that you could blow faster. They all are for beach balls and kiddie pools( with the Captains Wheel) and why are we even discussing this? 30 years ago, I rigged up a glad hand and 50 ft. hose, and a truck compressor puts out more air than this junk ever will. I even used it for a blow gun, something these would never do. Sorry for being a bit rude, but THIS is what those container ships have on board, and I try to not feed into that, if I can.
A compressor would be tons easier then being bent over holding your air chuck on the tire. And you could do it while loading or unloading. And just look at the pressure gauge. Only problem would be the power supply. How many trucks could actually pump the tire full? I've never driven one that could do it. The drives are OK but I can't get my steers up to 120. My trailer is superwide and takes long to pump up and requires 130. Best I can get is 105. With the gauges reading 130. Most of the trucks I've driven only get to 110-120.
Funny, I was going to mention that M-18. Don’t know what the max psi is and it’s definitely pricey. There’s a few videos on you tube and it is impressive. Being a big fan of Milwaukee cordless tools I’d definitely recommend getting one. You can get them online and super quick from the “Red Tool Store”
I have that. It’s perfect for topping off my tires. It will add add 5psi to a tire in a couple of minutes of less. The battery (8.0) will do all tires. It’s faster than a line off glad hands in my experience.
You do know that you can put any end on a hose you want. I have one that allows me to switch from one to the other in about a second flat.
Most truck compressors will fill a truck tire to the correct pressure and won't go any higher. Kind of a happy coincidence.
I see he has issues with his pressure not being high enough for his needs as the only real concern. Because you can have a regulator to set max pressure as well as interchangeable ends. I've never needed one and am able to walk away. At most I've overinflated by a couple pounds but for the most part I can time it fairly close. With some trucks you can simply watch for the gage to level off.
