Seafoam ain't snake oil, it's snake SOLVENT
As solvents go it's halfdecent.... nothing you still need (hoses, injectors, etc) typically disintegrates and some gunk comes off, providing slight MPG gains and quieter/steadier operation. At least in passenger vehicles

It's chlorinated hydrocarbons and can deplete TBN on extended drains.
It really does work though quite amazingly.
I prefer the Militec-1 brand who uses chlorinated group 5 esters and proprietary Anti corrosion additives.
Anyways the results are no ######### we've seen 10-15% fuel mileage improvements across the board with just the engine.
We're testing the addition to the hub oils in truck steer and trailer axles plus 10oz in each trucks rear axle oils for this IFTA quarter.
The hubs run about 20-25F cooler so far with 2oz added each. Very noticeable drop in temp.
