Seafoam ain't snake oil, it's snake SOLVENT

As solvents go it's halfdecent.... nothing you still need (hoses, injectors, etc) typically disintegrates and some gunk comes off, providing slight MPG gains and quieter/steadier operation. At least in passenger vehicles

I seen you tube videos that Seafoam cleans your Catalytic converter if your having issues with it getting plug. Pour it slowly down the throttle body vacuum line. And some in the gasoline tank.

There is a long thread about the whole KR/PP Signature truck debacle. It was started by, or included, the owners of said POS. Epic story.

    Oxbow and Intothesunset Thank this.

I've read that a while ago I think. The engine was put together wrong at PP, and a guy from Iowa had to rebuild it. He did phenomenal work I read. But for the price of that truck seems a flop in all honesty.

I believe seafoam actually works. Tried the above in a 360 Dodge Magnum. Couldn't see the tailgate for a good 5 minutes of lead foot driving. Tried it again a day or 2 later and it hardly smoked at all.

I second this type of anti friction additive but you cannot or should not be using extended drains if so...
It's chlorinated hydrocarbons and can deplete TBN on extended drains.

It really does work though quite amazingly.

I prefer the Militec-1 brand who uses chlorinated group 5 esters and proprietary Anti corrosion additives.

Anyways the results are no ######### we've seen 10-15% fuel mileage improvements across the board with just the engine.

We're testing the addition to the hub oils in truck steer and trailer axles plus 10oz in each trucks rear axle oils for this IFTA quarter.

The hubs run about 20-25F cooler so far with 2oz added each. Very noticeable drop in temp.
