I gave them my notice today. I like my dispatcher, and feel he's been straight with me, but the mileage and cpm just hadn't worked to a liveable wage for me. It was a bittersweet call to make, but there's better outfits to work for.

I hols no ambiguity towards them. They're a good outfit for a driver starting out.... But I couldn't make it off the pay. I thank them for giving me the chance to get into the industry, but it was time for me to move on. I had a decent truck, and the runs weren't bad, but as I said in another thread, for a man with a family, it wasn't what I needed.

The other day they announced a new raise policy, It's more based on your on time deliveries than seniority, and I had no prob with that, as
I worked within my h.o.s. to deliver ad they needed. But the low cpm just killed me.

Werner isn't too bad, but it's time for this ol' fart to move on....

Try the smaller outfits and offer to run local to get some miles under your belt... work the dock if you have to ....
