My signature tag says it all.
I got a message (fleetwide) the other day stating our freight was picking up, and everyone's miles would see an increase.
I'm thinking they found a way around the 11/14 hour rule, and haven't told us yet. LOL
I took a hit just before Christmas, but that was due to mechanical problems, not slow freight.
October & November were slow for our LTL. I just jumped over to OTR for the period of time, and ran, and ran, and ran.
I guess I've been lucky, I dunno.
Does anyone know when freight should pick-up

We should all stand up and e-mail our goverment and express these feelings.
Its the same reason may die from running electric heaters because they couldn't afford their bill and it gets disconnected, now they charge you 200.00 deposit plus all the bill. Well hello, I couldn't afford teh bill alone now you add 200.00 to it? I mean where is the logic in all this! It angers me to no end and it's sad kids/elders/adults have to do for this very reason and no one will or is doing anything about it! -
Sounds like some sort of scam to me... unless you bounced a check to the doc or something. Now that sort of thing here will land you some time in the county lockup.
P.S.
I believe I trademarked your signature tag line many years ago... LOL. My sentiments exactly! -
You can now be sued for 10-50 times more than you owe. It really depends on what the lawyer wants to charge for his fees. And, the Judge being a former rapist...uh I mean Lawyer, gladly hands your first born grandchild over to the lawyer, without batting an eye.
A simple parking ticket for $25 can cost over $500 to bring to court if you wish to plead NOT guilty.
This (being a lawyer) is the best job in America, and they make sure they get the money. Whether you have it or not.
My insurance company coughed up $10k to simply avoid a courtroom. They knew the party was lying, and could prove it. But legal and court fees would have cost more. Even with proof, there is no guarantee you will win in court...OJ proved that. -
With the exception of the 8 years that I worked at GM, I've always been on a first name basis with bill collectors. There are some things on my credit report though, that I just refused to pay--like crooked phone companies. Not one company, or collection agency has ever tried to take me to court for unsecured debt. I wouldn't pay it anyhow.
You'd think the likes of AT&T might have a few high powered thugs... er... I mean, attorneys on the payroll. I told 'em way back in 2001 that they were never gonna see a dime out of me. (LOL... I used to send them a money order once a month for three cents, just for giggles)
I was just wondering who it was that actually had the cojones to sue for $20. They have to figure they can get the money somehow. -
ours at USA picked back up some about 2 weeks ago

The IRS has in it's policy to collect taxes on us even if we were attacked by nukes. When there is money involved you can bet the blood suckers will always find a way to extract the last dime from you.
