Does anyone know about shcneiders bulk divsion?I was told they were the smallest part of Schneider,so i am guessing thats good?It seems like no one on hear ever talks about bulk and any problems it might/might not have?Every one heres about groccery wharehouses and still mills, but is there any headaches with bulk? And can anyone tell me about any other bulk carrier besides shcneider that hires students?Any info on shcneider bulk would be helpful.I am still thinkin about maverick, but for every good word on them, there is also some bad?So I dont know lol..

The Bulk Haulers around me are tied to the concrete business. Not great pay, but all in all ok I guess.....I'd still hold out for Maverick if you have that choice....

Perhaps I can shed more light on Mavericks's "bulk" division.
Right now it's approximately 15 or 16 trucks and about 35 drivers dedicated to hauling sand to gas rigs here in Arkansas. To be in sand haul you must live within 30 miles of North Little Rock. The drivers put in long days but are home every day or night, depending on your shift. It's the closest thing to being a local driver that Maverick has.
I just finished orientation and begin working in sand haul beginning Sunday. I'll be with one of the established sand drivers for a couple of days for hands on experience then be on my own. I've been in trucking for over 22 yrs. -
