I'm starting a new job today, and this truck doesn't have an electronic logging device. Every other truck I've driven did. So will I be ok using only an app to log my hours, and does anyone have any recommendations? Thank you

I use an app along with the ELD that is plugged in the the data link connector.

I think Motive Driver, formerly known as Keep Truckin, was widely used. IIRC you have to pay to use it and you use some device that connects to the truck's data port. I don't know any more details. I'm was a company driver and never paid for things like that.

Unless it's an ELD exempt truck (ie 99 or older) don't drive the truck if it requires a CDL. You'll only be setting yourself up for failure.
