    must have used the ol' hand operated trottle idle cable, it did work to a extent in some cases.

    Truck had a Vernier cable, from the factory. I have a throttle stick, but I just drive on the foot. Pretty good at locking my ankle in place and holding a steady speed. Besides, when I find myself driving slow, I know I'm getting tired and it's close to bed time.
