    Hello drivers,

Coming up on my first insurance renewal (I have progressive now), i have 3 trucks, i was wondering if i switch to Great West Casualty, do they limit the number of trucks i can insure in the second year of authority? It would be great to get some info on this from someone that has experience. Please share your experience with insurance. Thank you!!

    Concorde Thanks this.

In my experience I was stuck with progressive for the first two years. Probably best just to get a quote from Great West and ask. I’m currently with Geico and saved a ton..may want to call them also.

Not officially they don’t. 3 to 30 might be excessive but 3 to 10 wouldn’t be a problem. After 10 they like to put you on a mileage plan where you update your equipment list and miles monthly. I held off on that for a long time but it’s actually way way better.

edit: I think your hardest part will be getting on with them at all. I can’t say this with certainty but it seems they may have a 2 yr min authority limit. Have your agent check though is what I’d recommend. Everyone’s situation is different and they treat it as such. Progressive is more one size fits all.

Midwest is correct. Unless something has changed recently, you need two years on your authority before they will insure you.
