Dont know how long you been driving or had your own authority, but you fuel wherever you see fit for your company, as far as taxes go UNCLE SAM goes he gets his CUT-NO MATTER WHAT,whether you get AUDITED,pay it thru TAXES,STATE or whatever its just part of the business,if you have any REAL DOUBT contact your CPA,and they should know for sure thats what i do.

Some companys that lease O/O use a fleet fuel average meaning they take a average of how many trucks they have and how much fuel they burn when they run and pay FSC based on that, depending if your truck get more or less you can bw infron the 8ball or behind it,i prefer behind it.

Most O/O plan fuel mileage based on the routes that there goin,i know some may fuel up just enough in one state to get them to another state for cheaper fuel.

But at the end of the year it all averages out a few pennies or nickels more a less

Also you state that you was TOLD,this cant believe every thing you hear.

Hope it works out fo u

As mentioned, Arizona taxes commercial vehicle diesel at a different rate. But another thing to keep in mind is that many (most?) fuel stations on Indian reservations do not collect state fuel taxes.
