I got approved for my tractor inspection and orientation by next week, by Landstar Dallas. At the last minute, the truck I was buying didnt come thru because of a seller who exchange tires after I said that I was buying it. Does anyone knows if Landstar have some deal with some company for used truck sales? I am quite desperate at this point since I had all square out to start driving by next week as a O/O. As you all know, it is a drama to get financed, because they take their sweet time in getting you approved, even thou I have near perfect credit.
Any info will be very appreciated !!!![]()

Landstar has a classifieds for BCOs to sell any truck-related items. Not often a truck for sale lists owner financing. Sometimes, though, drive-to-buy.
See: http://www.lcapp.com/ForSale/DisplayAds.asprussellkanning, 123456 and InternationalTrucker Thank this. -
Thanks driver. I will take a look right now. Drive safe !

I am going to question you here if you have nearly perfect credit y not just put it on a credit card prob cheaper than many quick finance options

I use my capital one card with the double mile program and always pay the full amount montly. However, the lowest APR on this type of card is 11.9% and I was approved at 8.75% but just heard back from the guy that deals with the financing (Keystone) and they only work for Ryder. I was planing to give 7k down on my credit card but not the whole amount on it because 11.9 is too high of a APR... even thou I could get a bunch of miles and go travel sometime next year. Anyway...thanks for the feedback.

Landstar sometimes has rebates that are offered through different dealers. If you are a member of OOIDA, you may check to see if they have some discounts or rebates through any dealers. I don't know if you need to already be leased to Landstar to get one of the rebates. Keep in mind that you don't have a lease until you get through orientation.

Yes but 11.9 is by far cheaper than any comp sponsored deal plus you can save bunchs negotiating purchase prise on the front end

well said. Bottom line is, I am without a truck and without a lease. Not a very sweet spot to be sitting !!! But things will look up better eventually !!!
