I was just talking with a friend and he said his son was driving for Millis and they are putting camera's in all their trucks for 24 hour coverage. His son said everyone is quitting and he is going to work for TMC.
I don't know if this is true but that would suck I would think, is this even legal .
?
Does Millisecond have camera's in truck ?

all the big carriers are putting cameras in their trucks
their trucks they can do what they want -
I call companies all the time and act like I am interested in their company to find out if there is anything better available.
Called millis and asked about the cameras and they said they were testing them.
I know I would not drive with one.
If they don't trust their drivers that much then perhaps they should hire better drivers. -
Part of the "appeal" of truck driving (in fact with all the negatives, privacy may be the only positive left) no boss looking over your shoulder is tops with me. I would never drive for someone with cameras, and I would quit a company that I was already driving for if they put one in---even if I had been with them for ever.
That's just me.JRTBud, Skydivedavec, HappyHardCore and 1 other person Thank this. -
I meant to put Millis, spell check on I pad took overfor me and I didn't notice.

I am with you White Dog, seems like invasion of privacy and also not very safe. I would be thinking more about camera than my driving.
HappyHardCore and Skydivedavec Thank this. -
I just recently left Millis, for the simple reason of being home more. I had a camera in my truck (I volunteered). I set the camera off over 100 times. I never received a message via qualcomm or was called regarding the events. Yeah it sorta sucked....BUT...I felt that it would save my job before it would ruin it.
Skydivedavec Thanks this. -
they don't have the man power for any one to monitor the cameras. They are just for use in accidents. They want the whole truth of what happened and what he driver did. They are not spying on you all day
Hitman and Skydivedavec Thank this. -
I can't remember who/when/where, but I did read that one company had cameras that only activate under certain conditions. It just took pictures.Skydivedavec Thanks this.

If I had a camera focused on me 24/7 I would find a piece of tape to cover it.
HappyHardCore Thanks this.
