Connecticut told me that even though I've renewed my CDL just 3 months ago, I still have to submit another physical fitness check-up form before January 30th 2014. I'm living in China, so I think that the DMV won't accept a Chinese doctor's signature. Also my wife and I are thinking that it's not necessary for me to stay longer in China to help her get her green card. We can get the important stuff done in the next 2 months.
I spoke to a trucking recruiter that told me that they would put me in a truck with a trainer for 6 weeks, and after that I would be on my own. 10 weeks after that I could have my wife in the truck with me as a passenger. That means that I wouldn't have to do a refresher course or re-do my CDL. My wife would be able to get a CDL after she's been ( USA car ) licensed for a year.
We're thinking about starting my training in about 2 months.
