Y'all must not have Dallas dispatchers. They Suck.. I used to drive a cabover for Schneider. I believe my dispatcher was in Charlotte. He was alright. Dallas terminal dipatchers "SUCK".

Not quite. The Area Planing Managers do all the dispatching - your DBL can reject or solicit freight for you but tuey have very little say in what/where a driver goes. They are supposed to (possibly allready have) gotten some ability tp cherrypick loads if the APM has left a driver sitting but I 'm not 100%to on thar.

My dbl plans all of my loads, then submits them to the planner to confirm. This is rare from what I have seen and heard. Most dbl's let the planners pick their drivers loads. I constantly run 2800-3500 miles a week by my dbl planning out my loads.

Like I have said many times, your dbl makes or breaks you at Schneider.

Don't we all. I only get miles like that when I'm on the West Coast.

I never said dbl's do dispatching. I said most other companies call them dispatchers.

From what I have seen in person and heard on this board and from other drivers, I am very very very lucky to have a dbl that does what mine does. He is the main reason I put up with all the other stuff I don't like about Schneider.

I run regional, 5 on 2 off, drive Mon-Fri, off sat and sun. I am home Friday night about 90% of the time. The other 10% is either because of a problem at the shipper/receiver, break down or because my DBL asked if I would stay out till Sat morning.

I broke down this last week on Wed, didn't get fixed till Thurs afternoon. My DBL asked if I wanted to stay out longer, and I declined. I was home at 6PM Friday. And got one day of Break down pay.
