Does Sysco or Pepsi check PSP or only MVR for local work?

Every carrier big and small checks psp. The psp shows scale inspections, accidents and only cost a company $10 bucks to instantly get the info on their computer screen. Mvr and psp is going to be looked at. DAC is used mostly by the bigger outfits.

I have a clean mvr and no claims on clue report but I do have a accident on my psp from march this year. so I don’t know if I should list it if they only check mvr. I work at budweiser a year ago and they never made me sign the authorization form to check my psp. I just don’t want to list it if they don’t check psp but if they do check it then I don’t have a choice but to list it

Like I said, they will check your psp. Both of those companies are major and they will check everything including Dac.

There is an excellent chance these companies use a 3rd party service. Much like carriers use hireright. Sometimes people get caught up thinking hireright is the only game in town. Trust me, they aint.

I was reading another thread and it made me wonder, how does a wreck get reported to the fmcsa? I tried googling and couldn't get a definite answer. Does the carrier have to report it? I can't imagine local law enforcement does.

That's because the FMCSA as a matter of routine does not get accident reports unless said accident is part of an inspection report. People sometimes confuse DOT recordable with the incorrect DOT reportable. The carrier is required to notate on their accident register any accident that the DOT mandates to be notated. In the case of a Federal or state audit, lawsuit said accident register is available to them.

I hope this helps answer your question. there are a lot of misconceptions, myths and coffee counter BS where this subject is concerned.

I have experience with Pepsi. In our situation, they check your MVR. Others may be different, the Pepsi I have experience with (2) check MVR only for sure. But like I said, others may be different. They have franchises and corporate plants. Just depends.
