Does the Air Conditioning have to work to take the CDL Skills Test?

    Has to be able to defrost windshield.
    You can't drive with a foggy windshield.
    It has to work.

    When I tested in Wisconsin it must have working defrost and heat, but nothing about AC. I also find it weird that you can remove your windshield washer reservoir but if it's intact it must be full or they can write you up.

    Here in Texas, wipers not working is a citation, washer not working is a warning.

    Not necessarily, take plenty of water, keep the windows down, traveling down the road without a/c is not as bad as working between the pumps at a frac site, or between the engines on a drilling rig.

    There are worst places to work in Texas than a truck with no A/C.
