Across the street is a bakery. A guy and I suppose his wife, or it could have been his mother, got out of his smart car, to go into the bakery.
Just before he enters the bakery, he clicks his remote to set the alarm..!
I laughed like hell, and loudly said to the others in the shop, "WTF.....Who the hell buys such a car that is STUPID and puts an alarm on it?"...."I'd pay someone to steal it"
to wit one of my friends said, "no self respecting thief would ever steal such a car, and you ain't got enough money to even make an offer he CAN REFUSE"...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Vilhiem Thanks this. -
Heh...got a couple chuckles outta me though.G.Anthony Thanks this. -
Every time I see someone talk about 'fear' while driving, I hope they are just using the wrong word. Because if you are operating in fear, you're an accident waiting to happen.
In the grand scheme of things, if you're going to be a long-term safe driver, you operate in a proactive and decisive manner. That's the exact opposite of how you operate if you're fearful, which tends to have one reacting and being very tentative. Those are very bad habits to have!
If you stop and think about it, those are bad habits in almost any activity, be it hiking, climbing, riding, driving, etc, etc. Being a little uptight is one thing, if you're fearful, bad things are fixing to start happening and those bad things tend to snowball pretty rapidly until you find yourself in an avalanche. -
Build a solid foundation of skills. Trust them but don't be over confident.
