Crazy thing is bridgestone is made by michelin. But like you, I think bridgestones are great tires but I dont care for michelins. Maybe I've been at this game too long.
Does the tire brand really matter?

you guys have it all wrong. Bridgestone is a separate company and is actually a bigger company than Michelin. Firestone is made by Bridgestone. Firestone is Bridgestones second tier brand.
While we are on the topic, Goodyear makes the Kelly and Dunlop brands. Continental makes the General brand.
it's all about branding and marketing. "Premium" brand vs "Value" brand. all the big tire mfgs have both. -
Well you wouldnt want a tire with a brand on the side that said ####### so I guess that it does matter, LOL I go with Michelns myself always had good luck with them, we also have Goodyears on some of our field trucks seem to have a better lug on the high end goodyears.
