The Goodwill was so full of donations that people cleaning their garages during the Covid lockdown dropped off that they weren't accepting any more items. I don't know if they're still turning away donations. That could be a problem if you're trying to get rid of your stuff.

 

I'm not doing household any more but talking to my friends yes it is busy. Most of it is company moves whereas large companies mover their management to new locations.

You probably won't see many bed buyers out of there trucks if they have a big bunk. There is no need, they have everything they need including the kitchen sink. I really get out of my truck now. Too much be and I'm not interested. Also at the end of the day after loading or unloading 5 - 10 or 20k lbs of stick to a home or a three flight walk up your too tired to even eat. You would think the industry is booming but not really. The rates have been cut and we are not getting paid all the extras we should. There are steep discounts, and binding estimates that if wrong is a pain sometimes to get changed. Oh and there is only one moving company that is orange most are white lol.

 

We would shuttle it with a box truck to the big truck and transfer it. A real pita! Have to handle it several timez

Unfortunately work ethic is not the same today. Most don't want to work for the money

 

I don't know of any company drivers but I guess its possible. Well actually I take that back. I do know of one that works for an agent but its mostly commercial office moves
