I wouldn't pay that much personally. Was it a Penske...if it was then it's beat to hell, if it's an old company truck then the tranni is probably cooked and if you take the govenor off you'll have to take it easy on it for a while. The engine won't like being treated harsh after running slow for so long

dont think it is a horrible price--but look in the truck paper for comps--the miles are good
and it does depend a bit on where you live--you dont really want to buy one in cali if you live in fl--a few $$ in fuel just to get it home--that you could tack on the price of one down the street
warner truck in slc has a beautiful century now for 25000--but again its quite a distance -
I found a 2005 Int'l 9400i with 550K 10 sp ISX 430 HP for 25K. I believe it was an ex Arrow truck. Before you buy, ask for an ECM report find out idle time and other info. Ask where did the truck came from (an another trucking or leasing company). And if they don't have the answers, I would pay and mechanic and go over it. Then negotiate....That's a big investment. Take your time and go over that rig......I agree with "canuck in da truck" buy a truck locally. But if you can't find one locally then check truck paper. Good luck.

hi, im in florida, the price still needs to be negotiated, the truck is in houston, it has the right specs for me, and it is a freightliner dealer, so hopefully they are pretty straight, however i will always get an independent inspection done, the other choice is cheaper but has a cat c15, id rather have a detroit, hopefully cheaper parts, more reliable, better mpg, thanks for the advice

05' was a bad year, that's why there are so many of them.

Look around and find something local as has already been said here. You can touch it, drive it, have your choice of independent shop look it over, before you agree to fork out the money on the used iron. I wouldn't buy a cup of coffee without being able to see it, let alone spend over $25k on a truck that was 1200 miles from me.

You can get one a tad cheaper, 25 or under if you look around. Does this one have a warranty of any kind?

Take a look at this first. Now this info. that you are viewing is results from the just past auction in charlotte nc. The next one is in Feb. This info. also cost me a subscription fee of $180, but i'm trying to prevent you from wasting your time dealing with dealerships when you can go directly to source just like they are doing. I'm going to purchase my tractor and trailer in Feb. as well. These units are ALL WAL-MART tractors with APU units in them. Also this is just a fraction of the total amount of tractors that each auction has. I don't want to post to much of their info. because I don't want to get into trouble, and if I wasn't suppose to post this, then I am sorry and it won't happen again.josh.c, Big John and bobobrazil Thank this.
