Does this type of training exist anywhere else?

    There is a company called covenant that does this program where if you have a friend or family member that is an experienced driver they can be your trainer if you recently graduated.

    My buddy has been driving for a long time, and I just recently got my licences other than Covenant has anyone heard of anything like this?

    All the companies I have checked with so far want to put me in with a trainer for several weeks before we could team up. Which is in the end acceptable if necessary, but we'd much rather find a company that will put us in the same truck from the start.

    The only stipulation I would see there is it depends how long ago your buddy stopped driving. If it has been more than 6 months to a year then they are going to want your friend to go with a trainer too. Otherwise this sounds feasible for him to train you. I hope you two get along very, very well!
