Just as the title states. Does TMC require a 2 yr dot med card or ok with 1 yr?

i dont believe any company asks
just ask if you have a current card
some companies especially flatbed do their own testing
from what i have seen most less then 2 year cards are for such things as blood pressure that doctor thinks thru medication will be ok -
I can't imagine a one year card would be an issue. I (along with thousands do other truckers) have a one year card because of a sleep apnea diagnosis. With the increase in mandatory sleep studies and sleep apnea diagnoses a lot of new hires will start a new job with a one year card anyway.

I don't think they can discriminate

Thanks all.

You will take a physical with their doctor on day one of orientation. Then if you make it through the two weeks on the last day you rip up the old one and are issued a brand new two year. If you are only elligable for a one year be upfront about it when you get there. Be upfront about everything secrets will get you sent home.
