Does UPS still have team drivers?

As of 2 weeks ago there was a large banner on the fence of the UPS terminal in Hodgkins, IL saying they were hiring teams. That's the most current info I have, haven't been past the place since.

 

What major city do you live near? Certain cities have huge team operations and others have none.

 

we got a ups contract as an outside carrier. If you’re interested in running. and are you guys looking to run company or as owner ops?

 

Years ago I ran team to Burtonsville Md and they had quite a few teams then. It didn’t strike me as a major team hub, but that may have changed. I would call the specific locations you may be interested in and the hiring manager would know of the locations that were hiring enough drivers that also hire off the street. The locations that are hiring hundreds of drivers are generally the only places that will hire both drivers in immediately as a team. Most other places hire one driver at a time and they start off on the on call board.

 

I think he wanted to know about UPS jobs, not outside carriers. lol

 

Go to Louisville hr center by the airport during what's known as peak. They will pay you $40+ an hour and then offer you full time. Apply online they should contact you same day. Be some little lesbian lookin girl.

I pulled for them during peak. Hated it.

Money was severely too much for the work involved. I was on here calling it pud work and blah blah years ago.

They are paying people 28.50 right now just to move the boxes....all the afghan refugees are in there from atturbury and what not. Louisville and ups looooovvveeesss taking in refugees.

But yeah just apply to Louisville they will find you something.


(Don't know if they still require you to join the union but I never had to anyway because I used my Indiana address and didn't have to pay dues. Right to work state...all paid the same) think it was like 150 to join but it's been so long I can't really remember....you'll have to ask.
