Werner just purchased Roadmaster and AIT schools...so check your area for one of those.

 

I read something about that; you get a discount on tuition if you go with Werner plus they shorten the school for Werner applicants. Is that correct; that's what I read.

 

I tried going through in June and they gave me a "cash discount" that turned out to only be a discount if I went to work for Werner, otherwise they'd bill me another 2 grand. I pulled out my enrollment agreement and took my money back.
Not very impressed with them.

 

I wonder if Werner bought the schools because they have such a problem recruiting and keeping drivers.

 

It really is just another way to recruit. The people at the school don't tell you that you have to go to Werner until after you can get your refund back. I should've known when the instructor in the classroom said "Werner is the best trucking company in the industry, we have electronic logs"

 

You will get a discount on tuition I believe it's $2000
You must work for Werner a year. Roadmaster has same deal set up with Stevens, Us Xpress, Covenant and TMC. They call these companies their " core carriers".

 

They just bought two of the biggest ones.. so yeah I would say so.
