Does WERNER have sign on bonuses, layover pay and breakdown pay if so how much and after how long?

Pretty much no to the latter two. A sign on bonus might be acquired if you sign to drive a less than desirable account - like Family Dollar for New England, the companies worst Safety account.

 

They do but it's not much.Any company that doesn t pay much to begin with you can bet their added benefits isn't much either.The layover pay is $50.00 a day and starts the minute you're parked.Back when I was at Werner detention started 12 hours after your appt time and like ten an hour.Brkdown is 50.00 a day plus they pay for your motel.If youre stuck at a Werner terminal waiting for your trk to get serviced you'll get 50.00 a day and you'll have to spend the night in your trk unless to pay for your own room.If you're waiting hours for a driver to swap loads with or waiting hrs at a drop yard or terminal for a load you do not get paid for waiting.That's how it was when i was there..If their policies have changed you still won't be receiving much.

 

How did you narrow it down to those two companies?

Actually Werner does have a sign on bonus but not without strings attached of course and they post the highest number.5000 and ten thousand dollar sign on bonus.But for the new guys and gals it's a thousand dollar bonus and that's for solo drivers.

 

Even if Warnerr did have sugn pn bonus and detention pay they're not a company you wanna work for.

 

If Werner was the one and only trucking company remaining in the world, my driving days would immediately be over!
