Trouble backing, trouble shifting, accident in the last three years!! Did I miss anything?

Doesn't the school you paid 6K for have a placement policy?

Nope you didn't miss anything. The school is working with me. Hopefully I can make headway soon.

Our recruiter returned calls, answered calls, gave me a straight line number. We became friendly and talked about kids. He called me to tell me when his first grandchild was born. We still email and now that he's retired and he & his wife have relocated, when we have time in Denver we're going to have dinner.

However, I didn't contact him three times a day. When I spoke to him I'd ask when I should hear from him and if I didn't then I would call.

I realize that your record is giving you trouble and I hope things get better for you. Perhaps what might help is if you looked up which companies will hire with an accident within the last 3-5 years. And apply to those. Just a thought. And please don't yell at me if you don't like my suggestion......I'm trying to be encouraging and helpful.

    have you tried www.everytruckingjob.com?

You can search for companies that hire with incidents, accidents, felonies, etc.

No I hadn't heard of them. I will try them as soon as I get an answer from Covenant. I just talked to the recruiter and she said to call Thursday for my bus ticket reservation number.

Texas nana: thanks for the tip. If Covenant chooses not to hire me, at least there are options.

Why wait. You can always tell folks no thanks if they call and you have come to terms with another company.. If Covenant says no you will be that much further ahead

Recruiters get hundreds of calls a day from new drivers. It's rare for them to call you back. If you want a job trucking you need to call them every single day! The squeaky wheel is going to get the grease! Good luck, stay on em!

You will probably have to do the same after you are hired and need a load!
