Think of it this way. If you like Tijuana, you'll love Salinas.

    LOL

I wouldn’t do it. I’d go 12 miles further south to the Patterson flying J.
New. Clean. Comfortable. And just down the street you can PC to Walmart and a dozen other stores and restaurants.

If I had an extended stay in that area I used to find an out-of-the-way, low use, commercial road near the coast... somewhere between Monterey and Santa Cruz. For a 34 I would just find similar parking, but wouldn't worry about whether it was near a truck stop. Get a rent-a-car and see the sights.

    Lepton1 and Gutter Thank this.

1.10pm for what? That’s terrible!!! Produce and citrus are running considerably higher than that. At least my haul back to the Midwest tomorrow is.

    Lepton1 Thanks this.

BTW. Thanks for all the input from everyone.

I ended up getting ahold of the receiver. It’s the Second Harvest food-bank distribution center here in San Jose.

They had a spot in the corner of their lot I could park.

I walked to a hotel 3 blocks away. Doing my reset in a king size bed. Lol.

I took the whole month of July off so now I’m on a 8 week stretch. It’s nice to get out of the truck for a little bit.

Maybe for sticks and bricks. There are opportunities for much higher rates. Got TWIC, Hazmat, and/or tanker endorsements.
