I don't know how ya'll run doubles over there,....
But here it is pretty easy,...(freaks a lot of folks out though)
I'm sure your level headed enough to handle it,...
Doing what is a waste of time, but has to be done anyhow.

b doubles, not your wiggle wagons, not the same.
Ours are easier to reverse and vastly more stable. -

Good luck, Dan, I have no doubt that you'll do great.
Course if your luck is anything like mine you'll get everything set-up and operating just like you could hope and an opportunity to jump over here will fall in your lap. Seems like that's always how it goes.Donk Thanks this. -
Yep - our doubles just look like something waiting to happen. Aussie doubles look like they'd actually make it down the road, and I'd dig driving one around the block someday. There was a double broken loose and laying on its side in the middle of a highway one morning...... Just glad it happened out in a wide open space. The whole dolly pup deal is lost on me - too many moving parts for my sanity!
That said - I don't think you've got any worries going forward - you'll nail it. The rest of it, well, I just hope business vs rates vs fuel costs is better on you down there - it just plain stinks up here in the US. Years ago the price of fuel would drop during the winter, and if it's dropped (it hasn't - more like a roller coaster) I don't want to see what the Summer's going to do. Good luck and best to you!Donk Thanks this. -
Went for a play with a double set this AM.
Instructor gave be the basics and let me loose on the reversing range.
Hilarity ensued..
No seriously.
Ok, well thats not quite true. after a few misjudgements leading to an alteration i technique, i gained the upper hand and had control of the combination..
Now i just need to set aside the $ for the licence.
Bought some new steer tyres today, also found out that scania run a 9" wide rim.
Guess that i will be scounging the scania wreckers for a pair for the steers.
295/80 sit much better on the wider rims. -
