You're not even a driver yet? This is the, "Ask An OWNER OPERATOR" area of the forum. I'll digress. Keep telling us how much you can make with your gas powered tractors and rock bottom rates, bud. Not trying to argue with you. Have a good day.

What’s going to suck for some of you is when the supply chain resets and you’ll be on this forum complaining about not seeing $1000 a day. Yup, I said it. Does that upset you?Last edited: Jan 30, 2022

It is 10/26/2022.
Things are very bad. It is very difficult to be make $650 per day. I will work moving the DG trailers.
The trucking industry is in very bad shape.
The situation is extremely difficult for owners operators. -

$500 if they want a helper.
we make $1800 to $2000 a day on 500 miles and half those miles are empty. Not Dollar General or broker loads , direct contract work.
There’s work that pays , you just have to find it. -
I am working at dollar general right now. Janesville Wisconsin, As a company driver. I don’t think it’s worth the money. Those rolltainers are 1000 to 1200 lbs each. Especially those with gallons of water and pet food. It won’t move an inch. We have at least 50 of similar kind. As a company driver if I break something while unloading might get away. You won’t. Store managers deal differently with private fleet and DG fleet. If they refuse you deal with your dispatch who doesn’t have a say or authority to override that decision. Still think so? Go ahead. You will get money or get experience. Hope this helps
