If you know what the Bachelorette is, then you too watch too much TV...

 

You hit the nail on the head that guy is my dad. Except he never switched jobs to better himself. He drove for the same company from 18-65 and used to complain the new guys were being hired at a higher rate than he is getting. Always dreamt of farming. But so and so said you can’t mak any money doing it so he keeps working a job for peanuts. At 65 they canned him his job was labor intensive he could not handle it anymore. In the last 5 years he gets a new job every mo. He can’t adapt. He has more than enough to retire. He had the family farm given to him. Never had a mortgage.He will sit and complain about how he can’t make it has no money to anyone that will halfway listen.

 

If you watch any TV you know what many things are..... commercials make sure of that!

If it's not Gunsmoke, Andy Griffith, Green Acres, or a hunting / fishing show I don't watch it. But I know what the bachelorette is from commercials.

I have to many vintage tractors and other projects to watch much anyway .

 

Hmmm I think I see your point. Kinda like someone sitting around telling people how many losers eat at the lunch counter.

 

Agree the "pushed it, pulled it, plowed it" types are a nuisance, but nonetheless something can be taken away from the experience.
