Don hummer trucking

Been there done that. I'm a trainer going to owner opp

 

The training is fine. It's two weeks with a trainer then on your own for our regional area, then two more weeks training then out further. There are four training sections. If you're good you'll go through it faster. The pay is good. Are you fresh out of school? This only applies for fresh students. It's a good company. There are a ton of bad places to work. I have had many offers but didn't leave. My dispatcher is great. Safety people are great. The shop is very helpful. Here's a great secret most truckers don't get. BE nice! I had one issue where I thought about leaving(communication break down) Chris hummer call me personally and dealt with it. If you have an issue just call the owner(of course try normal channels first). I would and have suggested hummer to friends and family!

 

i am still in school for my cdl and really think hummer is my first choice. How is home time is getting to iowa every two weeks or so reasonable?

 

Has anyone teamed with them? Do they really pay 60 cpm split or do u gotta drive 70 years with then to get that

 

I haven't done team. But if it says it in the website it's true. They don't mess around here. Remember if your new you still do training pay! Even that is better than a lot of companies regular pay though. This is the kind of company you get lucky to find. Unfortunately new guys don't know that till they quit and try a new place. If you leave do it nicely so you can return. A lot of guys leave then come back.

 

They came out with new pay in March. It's pretty good. Benefits are very good. Equipment is clean and newer. I had questions today and ended up chatting with the owner.

 

do the trucks have inverters/friges

 

All have inverters. Some have fridges.

 

I'll have a fridge to sell from the truck I'm buying.
