I've been floating gears for 8 years. Never broke a transmission. I must be amazing! ;)

Read the post, it says if you're not perfect at doing it. Just like someone said you ruin the clutch, if you're not perfect. Now who was that, that said such a thing???

There should be, unless you are slip seating or haven't had a chance to equip your truck yet. That's just one of those things that you should have with you.

Clutch is much weaker than the gears. It's a wear item. If you use transmissions right they basically last for the life of the truck. Your point is moot. You are dumb and should feel bad about that.

Is that right? Thank you for saying so.

But then you say "if you use your transmission right". And if you use the clutch right, it should go 500,000 or so, correct?
Probably should always use the engine brake then, don't want to wear out the brake linings. You can stop just as good, if you use it right?

Point being, that clutch will last a good long time, just like the rest of the drivetrain, provided you don't abuse it.

Who says you break it if you're not perfect ? That know it all that's never driven one? How's that knee gonna handle all that DBL clutching when you're 64 ?
28 yrs of shifting these things and occasionally my right elbow acts up , what do you thinks that's from ? I'm left handed , it's not pitchers elbow.

It retarded why, because you can't do it ? In 28yrs , I haven't screwed up a transmission power shifting in a car or truck. Early 90 s, has a clutch go bad in a truck I'd been driving 4 months and got in it with over 500 k on the odometer. Back then clutchest weren't lifetime parts and could only be adjusted so much. Been power shifting 26 yrs , nothing retarded about it. Knowing your equipment makes it a no brainer . Some people just overwork themselves vs working smartly.

Yes, but if required to Dbl clutch - could you? My bet is yes. Drivers should know how to dbl clutch AND float the gears.
