Don't forget to self certify your medical card at the dmv by jan 30 2014

Been threads on this for two years. There are different dates for different states.

I self certified in January 2012.

 

And...

They're actually going to postpone it for another year anyway.

If you renew your medical card or get a new one from another company like I will be doing next week,you still have to take that new card to the DMV don't you?

 

I would strongly suggest it. It would still be valid to a point. The new medical card would supersede the old one and in the past was no big deal. Now, hard to figure how they would look at it.

Another note, this was supposed to do away with the driver actually carrying his medical card, but that also has been changed. You still have to carry your medical card at least till 2015.

Patty, I was told that we have to recertify with each renewal every two years or whenever your medical renews. Also for Swift drivers you can have your terminal safety db do it for you by email with your state DMV.

Thank you.Don't think Ray my boyfriend is aware of this.He had his renewel last Novemeber.
