    AMEN !!!

    :biggrin_25514:

My wife and son in the oven are my number one priority in life. OTR for pennies per mile is for the birds.

Thank the good lord for the wonderful oil fields here in The Great State Of Texas !!!

    That's a pretty broad statement there. $400 an hour? $400 a day? $400 a week? $400k a year?

$400 is decent money a day as long as it's pocket money after fuel. It still needs to be itemized because of the 400 other expenses that will eventually need to be paid

Nitroglycerin is just wet/oily propane ( Trinitroxypropane ).

I haul it to mines, trust me it doesn't pay $400 per mile ($400 per day barely)... Its the same as hauling any explosive, it doesnt matter how big the boom is because they all kill you the same.

I'm looking at going OTR this summer when the school year is up.
I've been looking at Prime since company drivers get their own truck after several months of driving with a trainer. They also offer an okay deal for getting my CDL.

If you want your own truck, you can lease or go company, and to have your own truck as a company driver, you may have to look around.

For me, I realize I need to take what I can get and be greatful.

At my age, I don't have a lot of choices and trucking -- the good, the bad and the ugly -- is worth looking into.
I am actually looking forward to the challenge!

Also, I realize I don't have the right to be really choosy and demanding of this and that when I'm just starting out.

Nothing more obnoxious than a demanding noob.
