and I drive around with 40-50000 in the box every single day, and my light weight is 37900.. do the math. I do that ALL day long too, not just one pass over those hills.. up and down em all day. OTR are not the only drivers who hit hills and grades.. I fail to see the point.Motownfire and DrtyDiesel Thank this. -
As I said, us local guys are doing the same EXACT things, just more. Just because I am local doesn't mean I stick to Interstates within 100 miles. I hit 4-5 states, and am usually on back roads, which are much narrower and hillier than highways. Im in and out of the cities too.. I haul scrap, so we have to avoid scales, so I don't have the luxury that OTR drivers do, of setting the cruise and running the same route all day.

Never said it was...but even at 4 bucks a gallon i get 100 percent of the fuel surcharge i charge and i still bring home great money.... Going local is for some people and otr is for others....and you dont have to give me the That was Then This is Now story.... I dont live in a freaking Cave....DrtyDiesel Thanks this.
